I’m really blessed. I grew up with pets. Two hamster, three birds, two dogs. My kids are blessed too. They have the chance to grow up with three cats, a dog and a guinea pig. The only reason they aren’t growing up with more pets is a city ordinance limiting the amount of pets you can have.

Animals are a blessing. They truly are. Sometimes a horse understands you better than your best friend. Petting a dog calms people down and gives hope to those in despair.

When searching for news items for Good News Blog I come across a lot of pet and animal stories that warm people’s heart. Simply reading about pets and animals can be a blessing.

It’s wonderful to read how therapy and service dogs enhance people’s lives, how cats can pull people through the best and worst of times, how good a friend any animal can be.

Faced with limited place for such stories of the heart I decided to start Good Animal News to give you and me that regular dose of inspiring animal news.
