I believe it's an "angora" rabbit and I've heard this breed ***MUST*** be groomed AT LEAST once per day, and preferably twice (comb and brush). If not, I've heard they develop terribly matted fur and much more quickly even than Persian cats. If left ungroomed, the pulling of the matts in their fur on the underlying skin is very painful for the rabbit and may need to be corrected by shaving at the vet. This breed of rabbit should only be acquired by a responsible person who understands its needs. It should never be given to a child as a living toy!. Humans and not nature have "created" this rabbit by decades of cross breeding for longer and longer fur. Without daily human help, it would have a miserable existence.
