Hundreds of dogs in various states of care, from healthy to emaciated to dead, were found and seized from Maggic Pets/Heddins Kennel outside of Bowie Tuesday.

Montague County Sheriff Paul Cunningham produced a warrant at 9:45 a.m. for the search and seizure of animals at the Heddins Ranch. Many believe the puppy mill that was founded and operated by Cloyce and Carol Heddins is the largest of its kind in Texas.
