Seven abandoned puppies from Taiwan have a new home at the Cambridge Humane Society.

They arrived last night after an exhausting 24-hour trip halfway around the world under the watch of Caroline Woerns.

“It’s naïveté and stupidity, not knowing what you’re getting into,” she said, looking back on the blur of veterinary inspections, transfers between planes, and crowds of people gathering around as she carried four cages of well-behaved dogs through airports in Taipei and Vancouver.
