Norfolk rescuers free feline whose head became trapped in storm grate
NORFOLK – As one cat learned this morning, even felines have days that can grate on you.

Luckily, members of the Norfolk Fire Department were able to remove the source of that irritation – a storm grate – which eventually led to the cat’s safety.

Animal Control Officer Hilary Cohen said a resident called at around 7:30 a.m. to say there was a cat stuck and suspended by its head in a storm drain on Strawberry Lane.
