Wanda Oughton had nearly eight dozen cats at her Chester Township home and knew each one by name — but these weren’t pampered house pets.

The cats were removed from her home after police and officers of the New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals found them living in horrid conditions. Today, veterinarians said they believe most will wind up in good health and eventually be adopted.
