Top birds this week are: EARED GREBE, TRICOLORED HERON, ROYAL TERN, AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER, possible SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER, and KENTUCKY WARBLER.

Other noteworthy species included are: SPRUCE GROUSE, CORY’S SHEARWATER, LEACH’S STORM-PETREL, YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON, COMMON MOORHEN, SANDHILL CRANE, AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER, HUDSONIAN GODWIT, WESTERN SANDPIPER, BAIRD’S SANDPIPER, STILT SANDPIPER, BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER, LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER, RED-NECKED PHALAROPE, LITTLE GULL, LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL, BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE, BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER, OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER, YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT, and LARK SPARROW.

Reports of migrant COMMON NIGHTHAWKS have been widespread this week. Shorebird migration is shifting to predominately juveniles.
